In the months leading up to the 2010 event, the SXSW Interactive team traveled around the country hosting a series of networking mixers. Ingrid Vanderveldt, host of On the Road with iV, and Lyn Graft, founder of LG Pictures, came along for the ride to talk with SXSW alumni and some first time SXSW speakers about what SXSW means to them.
Ingrid got the chance to talk with author Stephanie Klein at the festival in March about how much she learns each year and her 2010 session "Balance is Bullshit."

Read more...Announcing Accepted Interactive Panels on September 20
September is here — and with it, news from the Interactive programming front. Because we know you are eager to see the lineup of programming for SXSW Interactive 2011, we decided to release panels information earlier than ever this season. On Monday, September 20, we will release a list of the first 200 accepted titles for the 2011 event via the SXSW website.
This year, there will be no email notifications before the September 20 release date of the status of PanelPicker proposals, but organizers will receive an email on the day of the announcement detailing next steps for a successful presentation. This announcement will represent about one-third of our total programming for the 2011 season.

There are any number of ways to cash in on a presence at SXSW. One of the newest and most innovative? Apparently, it's to be at the receiving end of a joke.
HuddleHub, a SXSW Trade Show exhibitor in 2010, is an interface that allows sports fans to manage all of their fantasy sports in one place, even if their teams happen to traverse numerous different sites. This unique concept caught the attention of Late Night's own Jimmy Fallon. "There's a new program called 'HuddleHub' that manages all of your fantasy sports teams. They call it the perfect solution for someone who's too lazy to keep track of being too lazy to play actual sports."
