YouTube Treats - Kidz In The Hall "Got It Made"

We're happy to have Kidz In The Hall back at The 2010 SXSW Music Festival in support of their third album, Land of Make Believe. The Kidz deliver old school styled hip-hop, paying an obvious tribute to the infamous sound of the early 90s. By focusing on basics, their delivery is dynamic. Their lyrics range from story-telling to introspection over smart sampling. The result is consistently smooth and playful.

The Kidz skilled craftsmanship comes as no surprise, these savvy Ivy League boys make their mark for going against the grain of street stereotypes. The duo, MC Naledge and DJ Double-O, met at UPenn in 2000 and have been nurturing their hip-hop aspirations ever since. MC Naledge, a published author at age 15, has called himself a "college bred rap-star" and "walking contraditiction" for his career path, but his education has certainly impacted his ability to positively pontificate on the mic. Matched with Double-O's samples schemes, the two are modern-day role models who prove that you can do anything when you put your mind to work.

With March fast approaching, there are only a few weeks left to register for SXSW to catch The Kidz In The Hall along with many other acts, and go here to listen to their mp3 "Jukebox" and add them to your SXSW Schedule.
