Music Panel Spotlight: Producers Adapt and Survive

tim_palmer_200px.jpgAs mentioned in a previous Music News post earlier this week, Chris Walla of Grammy-nominated Death Cab For Cutie is appearing as a Music Speaker on the panel Producers Adapt and Survive. This panel on Saturday, March 20th at 11:00am-12:00pm will be moderated by legendary producer and songwriter Tim Palmer. (pictured left)

Tim Palmer is currently in pre-production with the Goo Goo Dolls, working on their ninth album. He also recently mixed The Sounds album Crossing The Rubicon. For 25 years Tim has been producing diverse artists such as David Bowie, Robert Plant, Switchfoot, HIM, and Tears for Fears.

Joining Tim and Chris on the panel is heavy hitter Hugh Padgham. Hugh has worked with The Police, Paul McCartney, Sheryl Crow and Phil Collins, to name a few. We are excited to have this award-winning producer speaking at our conference.

chrisfrenchie_smith_200.jpgProducers Brad Wood and Chris "Frenchie" Smith (pictured right) round out this panel to discuss what strategies are employed to keep studios booked, and how the basic relationship between artist and producer has changed. Don't miss this panel on Saturday, March 20th, where both veterans and newcomers come together to share their view from the control room.

The final registration deadline before our walk-up rate is applied is next Friday February 12th. If you haven't yet registered, now is the time to do so and save!
